The land of several thousand lakes, huge woodland areas and significant historic sites attracts hordes of tourists. The history of Varmia and Masuria was created by numerous peoples and nations whose traces, such as tumuli, strongholds erected by old Baltic peoples, Teutonic castles, Prussian palaces, great achievements of technology, bunkers and fortifications prove the cultural and religious diversity of the whole region.
